Cycling home today, I was waiting at a red light, as all road users have to do. A passing pedestrian looked shocked at a cyclist actually waiting at a red light, and said I was a “great man”.
I didn’t realise cyclists had given themselves such a bad name that when one actually stops at a red light they automatically become “great”!

In London it does appear to be a rare thing to stop at red. Outside London it is variable depending on the lights etc, but I would say most people don’t just ride through red lights like they seem to in London.
